August 2025 Newsletter

News and announcements:

  • August 26th (online). Having a defined goal and a roadmap for how to get there achieve better results than a vague desire to improve. Pathways is your roadmap. Interested in making better, time-efficient use of Pathways?  Learn user secrets to create more benefit where it counts - out in the world. Mentors, please attend if you can so that we can give more consistent advice to our mentees.

  • September 2nd (in person). We are fortunate to have as guest speaker, Sureal Sparx, DTM, District Director (advisor to all the clubs in the county). He will bring his considerable experience and enthusiasm to give us an inspiring speech on some of the many ways that Toastmasters can supercharge your personal growth.

  • Our new user-friendly website will be up and running in a few days at the same address: pbtoastmasters.com. An enormous thank you to our VP of Public Relations (and former President), Felix, who designed and built it.

  • Dues are due. Our Treasurer (and former President) Mat will be sending out more information soon, but get ready to pay your semi-annual dues. Early payment earns raffle tickets that could win you a $25 gift card of your choosing!

  • Speech contests. Take your public speaking skills to the next level by entering our club’s speech contests, which will be held next month! This will be a fun event so we hope to have great participation. Stay tuned for a flyer with more information.

Member Highlights:

  • Congratulations to Janet B. for completing Level 1 of Presentation Mastery Pathway.

  • Congrats also to Bobby L. for completing his Freshman Challenge (which he did a while ago, but the one-year deadline just went by).

  • We have many newer members who have dived in to give speeches and take different roles - great job!
