November 2025 Newsletter

  • November 8th, 9:30-1:30 (Saturday, at the Logan Heights Library, 567 S. 28th St. San Diego). Be a part of the Area Speech Contests, and see multiple clubs’ candidates compete for the best speaker title! You (and your buddies, whether or not they belong to TM) can come to watch this free event, or be a part of the action as a functionary (timer, ballot counter or judge – contact Amir Shayan to help out; amir@ahsglobalservices.com).

  • November 18th (in person). Classic cars, classic rock, and a scrumptious dessert: come to our annual El Camino Birthday Party!

  • December 2nd (in person). Job Interview Lightning Rounds! Have fun with impromptu speaking as we pair up in a speed-dating format to ask and answer questions about our skillsets (either current or aspirational). It’s a great opportunity to practice promoting our “personal brand” in a no-fail setting.

  • Call for bloggers! We need additional writers for this newsletter. If you’d like to share some info or a story about communication or leadership skills, please submit your writing to PBToastmasters@gmail.com with “Newsletter Submission” in the subject line. Length can be anywhere from a couple of paragraphs to several pages. The material can come from your personal experience, or something from a book, article, podcast, video, or another source that you found valuable. Contact Elaine P. if you have questions.
